3) Specialized course work to include basic body drafting, basic modeling/component design,and blue print reading.
Essential experience and professional skill requirement
1) Target 2-6 years of diversified component and assembly design experience.
2) Demonstrated proficiency in currently utilized CAD technology for data file management, modeling,assembly, detailing, and GD&T.
3) Demonstrated proficiency with at least one of the following CAD software: Catia, Unigraphics,and Ideas. Preference will be given to candidates with more than one CAD software capability
4) Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
5) Demonstrated ability to apply academic and other design knowledge,including descriptive geometry or equivalent, in the development and modification of automotive components and assemblies.
6) Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
7) Good organizational skills and the ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks within the department to meet established and changing deadlines.
8) Knowledge of CAE is a plus
9) Knowledge of personal computer (PC) and Microsoft Office
职位职责： 1. Generally assigned to increasingly complex components and/or assemblies. Assignments may include programs with new customers or new requirements.
2. Engages in design and product development of automotive closure systems, including door latches and actuators, window moving mechanisms, door modules, and powered closures.
3. May provide technical assistance, guidance and training, as needed, to designers regarding best practices.
4. Assists engineering by generating temporary studies or concept sketches with guidance from Engineering/Design Leader, of specific areas, to realize or eliminate engineering concerns.
5. Develops 3D CAD models based on engineering input. Designs and creates complete layouts.
6. Verifies requested changes are viable and incorporates the changes as requested.
7. Assists with verifying component integrity to correct proportional designs based on stress, speed, weight and other details.
8. Manages CAD data for assigned work based on program/customer requirements and based on direction from Senior Designer/Design Leader/Engineering Management.
9. Maintains current CAD file management practices and individual CAD file data integrity based on direction from Design Leader.
10. Performs data transfers, as needed.
11. Revises and modifies program drawings and or data according to approved changed notices and work orders with direction from Design Leader/Checker/Engineering Management.
12. Creates program specific drawings and charts, as needed.
13. Modifies GD&T based on direction from Design Leader/Checker/Engineering and sets up schemes with assistance.
14. Performs dimensional and tolerance studies and with engineering/manufacturing input, basic tolerance stacks, as necessary
15. Consults and collaborates with personnel in various engineering and design activities relative to the product development requirements.
16. Serves as a liaison to customer design staff and suppliers if placed in an off-site assignment.
17. Understands and follows existing policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvements.
